Spindle whorls are typically used by 海岸赛利希语 female 而且 Two-Spirit weavers to spin animal hair into wool for textiles. August’s two whorls will be projected by light as stencils on the ground 而且 will be operational very soon. The 艺术ist’s work will be lit up all along the greenway from Gordon Head Road to Ring Road, 包括主要入口, crosswalks 而且 in all five of the spaces around 维多利亚大学’s new student housing 而且 dining buildings.

I know I speak for others involved in coordinating the project in saying how delighted I am to see Margaret’s 艺术work now being raised across campus 而且 their contributions toward creating a welcoming 而且 inclusive campus environment.
